There is a famous quote by Abraham Lincoln that goes
something like, "If I had 3 hours to cut down a tree, I would
spend the first 2 hours sharpening the ax".
For the longest time, I didn't know what that meant. But since then I have had
some life experiences where it has applied and thus became clear.
If you don't know what it means, here goes: I you run around like
a chicken with it's tail on fire, doing and doing and doing, you make lots
of sometimes costly mistakes that you wouldn't have made had you gotten'
all your ducks in a row first. So take a step back, know what your options are,
and you can get it done right.
